Capital City Housekeeping (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides cleaning services in Columbia, South Carolina, and surrounding communities. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit our website, request a quote, submit a Facebook or Instagram lead form, contact us, or use our services.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, service address, requested cleaning service, scheduling preferences, and details you choose to share about your home or business. We also maintain communications and service records needed to respond to requests and manage your cleaning service.

When you submit a Facebook or Instagram lead form, we receive the information you choose to submit, including contact details and answers to the form’s questions. Meta also handles information under its own privacy policy.

Our website provider may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, and cookies or similar technologies used to operate the website.

How we use information

We use information to respond to inquiries, prepare estimates, arrange and provide cleaning services, communicate about appointments and service requests, maintain business records, and address service issues. We may also use information to protect our business, prevent misuse, and meet legal obligations.

We use Quo to handle business calls and text messages, including promotional text messages about our cleaning services. We process phone numbers, message contents, and related communication records for these purposes.

Submitting a quote request allows us to respond about that request. It does not, by itself, enroll you in unrelated promotional email or text campaigns.

Call recording and transcription

Our business phone system, Quo, records and transcribes calls. Recordings and transcripts contain the conversation and any personal information discussed during the call. We use these records to review customer requests, prepare or clarify service arrangements, and maintain records of our communications. Quo processes and stores this information as part of providing our phone service. Please avoid sharing sensitive information that is not needed for your inquiry or cleaning service.

Text messages and future email marketing

We send service-related texts about inquiries, estimates, appointments, and cleaning services. Our lead form provides an option to opt in to promotional text messages from Capital City Housekeeping. We use Quo to send these promotions. Choosing to receive promotional texts is separate from submitting a request for a quote and is not a condition of purchasing cleaning services. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to opt out of text messages or contact us at (803) 592-3244 for assistance.

We do not currently send promotional emails. If we introduce email marketing, we will provide a way to unsubscribe and obtain consent where required. Permission to receive promotional texts does not automatically enroll you in promotional email.

We do not sell or share mobile numbers or text-message opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may share information with providers that help deliver and support our own messaging services, as needed for those services.

When we share information

We use Squarespace for our website, Jobber for customer and service management, Quo for business calls and texts, and Meta for Facebook and Instagram advertising, lead forms, and communications. These providers process information relevant to the services they supply. Their own privacy policies also explain how they process information independently.

We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect people, enforce our agreements, or respond to fraud or security incidents.

We do not sell information received through Meta lead forms.

Your choices and requests

You may contact us to ask about how we handle your information, request corrections, or request deletion. We may need to verify your identity and retain certain records for legal obligations, accounting, disputes, or ongoing services. We will consider requests under applicable law.
